Helen Marie Green

Helen Marie Green, age 80 of Columbia, MS passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a member of Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church, and worked as a supervisor with Rutter-Rex and retired after 50 plus years of employment. Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, William Bryant and Clara Mae Randall Bryant; sisters, Judith Warden, and Emogene Bond; and brother, Billy Bryant. Her memory will be forever cherished by her husband, James “Punk” Green of Columbia; daughters, Donna Dement of Sumrall, MS, and Debra Green of Columbia; sons, Lindon Green (Ann) of Petal, MS, and Ronald Green of Columbia; sisters, Janet Folkes (Sonny) of Seminary, MS, and Lucy Hartfield of Diamondhead, MS; and her seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren (one on the way).

Family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Brother Dale Broom will officiate and burial will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery assisted by Justin Green, Travis Green, Darryl Russell, Kermit Dement, Jr., Jared Roper, and Kevin McCraney as pallbearers.
