Ted was born March 26, 1947 in Poplar Bluff, MO to Marvin and Elizabeth Atwood, who preceded him in death along with one brother, Lynne Atwood.
Ted was a graduate of the University of Missouri, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and Midwest Baptist Theological Seminary. Ted worked for the University of Missouri as an internal auditor and retired in 2002.
He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen (Butler) Atwood; son Wayne Atwood, daughter-in-law Christa, and grandson Spencer; daughter Brandy Atwood and grandchildren Derrik Atwood, Kaylee Atwood, Nikki May, and Trevor May; daughter Crystal Atwood; sister Mary Beth Sumpter and brother-in-law Kirk; sister Donna Brown and brother-in-law Ed; brother Dan Atwood and sister-in-law Joan; brother Steve Atwood; as well as his nieces and nephews.
