Patty Thoelke

Patty D. Peacher-Thoelke, 82, Boonville, MO formerly of Columbia, MO passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. At her request, no service will be held. Patty was born on September 25, 1934 in Columbia, MO the daughter of James L. and Minnie Gertrude (Ravenscraft) Johnson who preceded her in death. She was married on March 11, 1952 to Robert Peacher Sr who preceded her in death on August 23, 1994. She then married Earl Thoelke on December 31, 2003 who preceded her in death on October 14, 2005. Patty along with her husband Robert (Bob) owned and operated Peacher's General Store in Midway for several years. A consummate caretaker, she went on to work for Visiting Nurses and Columbia Senior Center. She finished out her working career at Gerbes (West Broadway). Patty was admired for her cooking. She loved to cook and bake cakes, enjoyed making candy and made several holiday themed gingerbread houses which she shared with family and friends. Patty was also a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching football and baseball. She would never miss watching her favorite teams play even during her stay at the hospital. She is survived by two daughters, Pam Pipes (Jack) of Rocheport, MO and Janet Kaplan of Overland Park, KS; one son, Robert Peacher Jr of Lee’s Summit, MO; four sisters, Kathryn Henderson of Mexico, MO, Nedra Schmidt of Fayetteville, NC, Carol (Don) Huston of Albia, IA and Martha Shern of Olathe KS; two brothers, James L.Johnson, Jr. of Glendale, AZ and Jerry Johnson of Columbia, MO and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Peacher-Vorce; two sisters, Elizabeth Conner and Dorothy Walker; and two brothers, Glenn and Hilary Johnson.
