Jerome Michael Phelan, 88, of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, November 27 at the Neighborhoods, surrounded by his family.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will be for the family at a later date. Monday afternoon, from 1-3 PM friends are invited to gather at D. Rowe’s and celebrate his life.
Jerome was born on January 28, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of the late Michael Phelan and Eileen Carraher. He was united in marriage to Patricia (Barry) Phelan who survives. He is also survived by his children: Kathy and Al Green of Tebbetts, MO; Laurie and David Weaver of Columbia; Tim and Sarah Phelan of Columbia; Julie and Paul Hogan of New Bloomfield; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, as well as several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: two sons: Stephen and Michael.
