It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Deyton Page, a cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend, who tragically passed away on November 6, 2024 at the age of 17. Deyton’s untimely departure leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

Deyton was a dedicated 11th-grade student at Battle High School in Columbia, Missouri, where he was known for his bright smile, infectious personality, and love for life. He had a deep passion for baseball, and the field was a place where he not only excelled but also made lasting memories with teammates and friends. Deyton loved listening to music, skateboarding, and spending time outdoors. Above all, Deyton had a rare ability to make those around him smile and feel valued, no matter what was going on in their lives. He was a true friend and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel like they mattered.

Deyton is survived by his father, Justin, and stepmother, Heidi, of Columbia; his mother Katie Taylor of Kansas City; two sisters, Tevyn Page and Madi Taylor; and his brother, Chance Monroe. He also leaves behind his loving grandparents, Kevin and Frances Smith of Centralia, Leland and Hope Taylor of Centralia (Leland, who predeceased him), John and Carol Page of Columbia, and James and Katherine German (James, who predeceased him). His extended family includes his aunts and uncles, Casey and Eric Baxter of Centralia; Brittany and Hannah Taylor of Centralia; Jamie and Debi German of Columbia; Teresa Voorheis; Lecil German; and numerous cousins who adored him.

A celebration of Deyton’s life will be held at Memorial Funeral Home on November 16, 2024 from 2-5 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the memory of a Deyton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made by check or cash to the Deyton Page Memorial Fund.

Deyton’s time with us may have been far too short, but his impact will be felt forever. In the wake of his tragic passing, Deyton Page’s final act of generosity brought hope to others in the most profound way. Though he took his own life, Deyton’s decision to donate his organs has saved and improved the lives of several people. His heart now beats in the chest of a 9-year-old boy, giving him a chance at a future he otherwise wouldn’t have had. His lungs and liver were transplanted to a 58-year-old man, offering him the gift of extended life and health. One of Deyton’s kidneys and his pancreas went to a 36-year-old woman, while his other kidney was given to a 5-year-old girl, each receiving the gift of vitality. His corneas were donated, giving two people the priceless gift of sight. Through this final, selfless act, Deyton’s legacy of kindness continues to shine, and his family finds some solace knowing that his spirit lives on in the lives of others.
