Service will be held Monday, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home with a visitation on Sunday, June 22 from 5 – 7 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Raymond was an avid bowler, in the Nashville Church Country Gospel Band and loved to play his guitar, sing and fish.
He is survived by one daughter, Raeann Akers (Mike); one son, Randy Griffin (Yvette); four grandchildren, Michael Akers (Jennifer), Jeana Akers, Kaitlyn Griffin and Bailey Griffin; one great-grandson, Mason Akers; six step children, Roger Morris (DeeDee), John Morris (Teresa), Jennie Morris, Wanda Cunningham (Harold), Mark Morris (Melanie) and Sharon Newman (Mark); thirty-nine step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edgar and Annie Laura Grant Griffin; first wife, Minnie Jane Griffin; second wife, Margaret Griffin; a sister, Mary Richards; and a step grandson, Rylan Newman.
