Cecil E. Gromer, a resident of Columbia, MO, passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 88. Cecil was born to Ernest and Addie (nee Mason) Gromer in Stoddard County, MO. He married Margaret (nee Treece) on May 10, 1958, and they had three children. Cecil had a career in residential life at the University of Missouri, spanning many years. During his free time, he enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and deer hunting.
Cecil is survived by his spouse Margaret, their three children; Debbie (Randy) Hall, Glen (Lisa) Gromer, and Sandy (David) Sims, along with 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and four sisters.
Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation, scheduled for Thursday, November 16, between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO. Additionally, a Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 17, at 11 a.m. at Red Rock United Methodist Church, located at 4760 W Squire Court Rd, Harrisburg, MO.
