Carol Ann Scibek

Carol Ann Scibek of Ellicott City, MD, passed peacefully on October 5, 2024. A loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was preceded in death by Frank Scibek, Jr. her husband of 64 years. Carol is survived by her children: David, Frank III, Carol, and Scott. Their respective spouses: Marcie, Peggy Marion, David Kee, and Shareen. Her grandchildren: Frank IV, Ben Szunyogh, Harrison Kee and his wife Megan, Rachel Kee, Joseph, Ethan, Preston, and Grant. Her two great grandchildren: Piper Kee and Elliott Kee. And many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Carol was an amazing wife and mother. She tirelessly cared for her family and home. Then in 1986, at the age of 47 Carol graduated from The University of Maryland and was a lifetime supporter of the Terps. After which she started an almost 30 year career at the National Institutes of Health. She was an active Girl Scout volunteer and enjoyed traveling all around the world with Frank. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and reading but her favorite thing was being surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday November 26th, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Church in Ellicott City, MD. Friends and Family are welcome. A private Family Internment Ceremony will be held at a later date at The New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore, MD.
