Virginia Violet Brinkman

Virginia Brinkman of Yucaipa, CA. went home to be with the Lord January 23, 2015.

She was born Virginia Violet Newkirk on May 29, 1917 to George and Elsie Newkirk of Detroit, Michigan.

She married Louis J. Brinkman on January 23, 1937 They were married 41 years before he preceeded her in death on April 27, 1978

Virginia worked at the Ford Motor Company in Detroit for many years. After moving to California arround 1955, she was a civil employee at Norton Air Force Base where she worked until retirement.

She and her brother Vern were dance partners in their youth and beyond. She continued to dance to the music of the 30's and 40's well into her 90's. One of her favorite past times was playing cards with family and friends. Also, staying in contact with her email friends, traveling, and keeping up with current events.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents George and Elsie Newkirk

Her brother Vern Newkirk, her sister Carol Prichett, and daughters Linda Gieratz and Lois Davis.
