Victoria Ann Martinez (Rosales) 67, of Riverside, Ca passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Victoria was a resident of Riverside for 56 years. She was born in Orange California in 1955 to Victor and Mary Rosales and moved to Riverside California in 1966. In 1973, Victoria graduated from Norte Vista High School in Riverside and married Gerald Martinez, her husband of nearly 50 years.
As a newlywed Victoria worked at Grant’s Department Store in Riverside until she and Gerald started a family. She welcomed her daughter Monica in 1976 and son Dennis in 1979. In the late 1980’s Victoria decided to enroll at Riverside City College. At RCC, she studied Medical Assisting and earned a certificate as a MA in 1987. Over the next 19 years she worked in the Medical offices of Dr. Shafai and Dr. Koch. Working in the Medical field was her calling and she had a passion for serving others. In 2006 she took a position as a CTE Instructor for Riverside County Office of Education teaching the Medical Pathways courses to Adult Learners and High School Students. Victoria loved teaching and found it so gratifying when her students chose the Medical Field as their chosen careers. She was thrilled when former students would contact her to say that they had gotten a job or when she would run into them in a medical office or hospital. Victoria lived a life of service to others. She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin, Godmother, and Friend.
Victoria is survived by her husband Gerald, children Dennis and Monica, grandson Cristian, mother Mary Rosales, brother Victor Rosales, and many other beloved family members and friends. Victoria is preceded in death by her father Victor Rosales, brother Anthony Rosales, and grandson Michael Martinez.
Visitation for Victoria will be held on the evening of Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Montecito Memorial Park and Mortuary. Funeral and Interment will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 10:00 am at Montecito Memorial Park in Colton, California. Reception will follow.
