Tube el privilegio de conocerla y compartir mi catecismo, enseñanzas que jamás se olvidarán siempre tenía una sonrisa y lindas palabras. también recuerdo que  una simple palmadita en el hombro te hacía sentir que ella estaba ahí para ti, Gracias a su mami las conocí  a ustedes sus lindas hijas en especial a Eva que es mi Madrina les tengo un cariño especial y le pido a Dios por ustedes que se mantengan unidas y que todo el amor, el apoyo, todo lo que ella les enseñó lo mantengan siempre presente para que los niños sigan ese gran ejemplo así como su abuelita la enseñó a ella. No te conoci muy bien pero tus hijas maravillosas me enseñan que ellas son productos de una mujer tan hermosa. Tu esfuerzo para hacer lo más posible por sus hijas y nietos es muy admirable. Muchas gracias por existir y crear una familia tan increíble.

No me hago la idea de que ya no estas, de que ya no voy a recibir tus llamadas y escuchar tu voz y mucho menos recibir un beso o un abrazo tan apretado que siempre me dabas. Me duele todo el cuerpo-- no solamente el corazon
 
Fuiste una mujer luchadora que nunca se daba por vencida y nos enseñaste que, en la vida, tenemos que luchar por lo que queremos. Siempre hacías lo imposible por tus hijas porque si algo no podías, tu siempre encontrabas la manera de dar, con tal de vernos sonreir. Una mujer ejemplar, que a pesar de estar enferma no te dejabas derrotar y seguías adelante haciendo feliz a todo mundo con tu sonrisa contagiosa. Espero yo, algun día, llegar a ser por lo menos mitad de la mujer que tu fuiste.
 
Gracias por todos tus consejos, por saber amarnos y perdonarnos aunque a veces no lo merecíamos. Gracias por enseñarme el amor incondicional de una madre y así yo poder enseñarles a mis pequeños. Gracias por dar todo por nosotras y también por tus nietos. Nunca me cansaré de darte las gracias y de decirte cuanto te amo y cuanta falta me haces. Me consuelo con saber que ya estas a lado de mi Chelo y que sus almas deben estar muy alegres disfrutando del reino de Dios sin ningún dolor.

Lupe gracias por darme la oportunidad de ser tu comadre, en mi corazon estaras siempre.  Gracias mil gracias de todo corazon por tantos lindos momentos que pasamos, alegrias y tristesas. Lo mas hermoso de nuestras reuniones fue cuando recordabamos sus historia con tu hermanos, especialmente cuando tenia que ber con Raul.. Lupe cuando nos despediamos siempre nos deciamos asta pronto, y si que asi sera por que algun dia estaremos serca de nuevo.  Dios a llamado a su lado a un angel mas para quidar de todos nosotros. Te queremos mucho.

:: Sé que en este momento es una gran tristeza la que estan viviendo, La Sra. Maria estara en un lugar mejor, piensa y ten en mente los recuerdos más lindos, y los que te trajeron muchas alegrías y enseñanzas a tu vida, ella se va a un lugar mucho mejor, pero te estará cuidando en cada paso, y estará contigo por siempre. My sincere condolences to the Ruiz family.  I have know your family for my entire life at St. Bernardine's. Señora Ruiz was always such a loving and caring person, and her joy shined through to everyone around her. Her years of dedication to the church and to its members will never be forgotten. She will truly be missed!

I knew Maria for the past 12 years. She was always very welcoming when I stopped by to steal her daughters and fight for justice all over the city and state.  Maria"s spirit is powerfully present in her daughters -  all of them like her in their own special way.  Strong, loving, peacefully present,  faith-filled,  and welcoming -  all of these gifts permeate her family because of her powerful spirit.

Yo quiero recordar a esta hermosa Señora con esa sonrisa que siempre daba a cada persona, en estos años de convivencia en la iglesia creo que todos los que la conocimos aprendimos algo bueno de ella .ahora sólo pido a Dios que la tenga gozando de su reino eterno. Y que a sus hijas les de mucha fortaleza para salir adelante.  Sra Maria, mi familia la recuerda con mucho cariño.

My condolences go out to the Ruiz family. I did not get the opportunity to personally meet Maria Ruiz, but from what I have heard of her I know that she was a strong, generous, and compassionate woman. Because of her I had the pleasure of befriending her daughter Erika, one of the most intelligent and fiercely loving people I have ever met. So I'd like to thank her for not only bringing such a dear friend of mine into this world, but for also being a pillar of love and strength herself, and for providing so much for her family and community.

Como me hicistes tan feliz en todos los años que tuve contigo. Siempre admire tu manera de ser, tu manera de amar incondicionalmente, de dar cada parte de ti a los que amabas.

Como me haces falta, necesito tus consejos que solo una madre puede dar. Gracias por toda tu ternura y amor. Gracias por tu felicidad infectuosa. Gracias por siempre asegurarte de darnos todo lo que necesitabamos. Hasta cuando no podias proveer, encontrabas la manera. Nunca podre hacer lo suficiente para pagar todo lo que hiciste por mi.

I have had the honor of knowing three of Maria's daughters and she has given birth to some of the most amazing, talented and strong women that I have ever met.  I am grateful to her bountiful spirit that has given birth such amazing souls and I know that she must take such great joy in knowing that her beautiful spirit endures on earth and in eternal repose.

My prayers are with the Ruiz family especially Lupita. God bless you all.

My heart goes out to Erika, and all the family. My thoughts and best wishes go out to you in this time. I could see their Mother's light in Erika's eyes, and a passion for family and the culture around them. I did not know Maria Ruiz very well personally, but I can see what a wonderful person she was, in the love and affection seen in those she touched. Through her family, it's clear the love and connection she shared was abundant.

It's impossible to believe she is no longer with us. Maria was a very warm hearted and friendly person. She would always make me feel very welcome in her home, I had the great opportunity to share valuable moments  with her as we both attended special performances where her daughter Cristina my friend would have, made Maria very proud, Maria was a wife, mother, grandmother very family oriented women. Doña Lupe una persona unica con ese amor que les dio y les seguira dando a sus 5 hijas.... una persona tan cariñosa, bondadosa y super amable, siempre muy sonriente. Las veces que pase tiempo con ella son inolvidables porque con ella se sentia el aprecio asia uno... la vamos a extrañar bastante.. Que Dios La Tenga En Su Santa Gloria, y que en paz descanse...

Gracias por invitarme en tu casa para una fiesta celebrando con una de mis mejor amigas, tu niña Erika. Tienes una familia hermosa y cuando los conocí estaba seguro que tienes un espiritu lleno de amor. Descanse en paz Señora Ruiz.

Maria Ruiz truly gave this world so much. 
She birthed and raised such strong and inspiring women. 
Although she may have not been visible at the front line, but like many women, she has been a pillar in the movement of our city and deserves credit.
Without her, we would not have such strong women who aim to give back to their community and have been committed to doing so for years.  
Without her, so many youth and families in SB would not have been touched by warmth and humor of the Ruiz' sisters. 
Espero que sentera lo grande que ha dado ha este mundo.

Una mujer que me habría las puertas de su casa a cualquier hora. La recuerdo llegando y saludándola con un beso y con un "lla llege madre o hola madre". Era servicial hacia su comunidad. Es una mujer y madre de las que se adoran. Se extrañara pero también se sabe que nunca se ira de nuestro corazón y memoria. 

Hasta que nos vuelvamos a ver en el cielo mamacita. Con mucho amor de Karlita la que llegaba a darle lata en su casa.

My condolences, even though I didn't get to know Maria Ruiz, I do know Cristina Ruiz and by the looks of it I can tell she was an awesome person and an awesome mother. The legecay she left behind with Cristina tells a lot in a good way.

A wonderful person, an amazing and dedicated woman, a loving mother, a beloved mentor, and nurturing soul. You will be missed...may you rest in peace.

I'm so glad I had the opportunity to meet Maria in person. She was a wonderful mother in law to my son jesse. I know she was a loving  mother because she raised 5 beautiful daughters. She will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
