It saddens me to learn of Jeanette Kim’s passing. I affectionately called her “Jeanie Kim “ during our training in Mississippi.  Jeanette was kind, giving, devoted, and so funny and courageous.  So courageous.  I was so proud of her when I received her first Christmas photo with her husband and babies.  She did it! She wanted so much to be a mom and have a family to whom she could extend her love and in turn be unconditionally loved.  I am so happy she was able to experience her heart’s desire. 


My sincerest condolences to Jeanette’s family.. She was the life of the SBMG extended care clinic. She was easy to work with because she always maintained a happy demeanor and would always graciously share  her procedural skills with other physicians in our group.  I admire her for being a loyal wife  and a doting mom to her twins. She was very generous to her family and friends to a fault. She shares her snacks to whoever may drop by her office, takes people out to lunch just because and shares her board exam reviewers to whoever may need  it. I remember her stopping by my house just to drop off a box of donuts just because— she said she was on a “donut run”.  I miss working with her and exchanging “chismis” with her when things get tough at the clinic.

Words cannot express how truly  beautiful, compassionate, loving and generous Jeanette was.  She loved her family endlessly.   Jeanette was a patient advocate and took great interest in teaching her nurses, MAs and staff how to be the best and never to settle for less.  I will always remember her laugh and how her face would light up.   She never gave up.  JK was my role model and I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without her guidance and all the lessons she taught me.    She was amazing and will be so missed.   I love you JK.

Jeanette was a wonderful human being with a big, warm heart and a smile that easily turned into laughter. She had a zest for life, fun and adventure.

May God hold all of you close to His heart and give you peace and comfort now and in the days ahead.


Rest in peace my dearest Jeanette, i know you will be at peace in the arms of our Creator. I will always cherish the memories that we had here in Cebu my best friend, praying for your peaceful journey to our Fathers home and certainly will see each other in eternity my good friend. Dr. Kim, I had the pleasure of working with you at SBMG.  I remember you use to make me laugh and made work easier.  My condolences to your family.  

Dr. Kim, I loved working with you at SBMG. You are an amazing woman and I will keep the wonderful memories of working with you in my heart. You are so funny and your beautiful smile was so contagious! I hope your children and family feel comfort during this difficult time, I have no doubt you will very with them again. Dear Onel, Nicole, and Kenneth - Your mom was a beautiful soul and such a wonderful friend, and I can't express how so deeply sorry I am for your loss . No words can make this situation better, but I hope time will ease the sadness, so that you can remember her with a smile. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Jeanette, I will certainly miss you.  I started working at SBMG while you were out on maternity leave!  You are so blessed to have raised amazing children, what a lovely family you have.  I am  happy for the time we worked together, and I remember fondly our trip to Las Vegas. Even though I moved away, you were never out of my thoughts and prayers.  Rest in peace my friend.
