Franky (Maukar) Tambingon, also known as Utu, age 40, of Loma Linda, California passed away on Wednesday February 21, 2018 while he was working to provide for his family. Franky was born February 2, 1978 in Bandung, Indonesia.
Franky is survived by his wife, Jiu Fam; daughters, Letizia Maukar, Chinelle Maukar, Eila Maukar; and son, Eli Maukar; mother, Anna Amo; step-father, Jerry Amo; predeceased by his father, Frans Maukar; father-in-law Se Kin Hon and mother-in-law Miau Tan Fam; sister, Gladies Nova Maukar and brother in law, Raja Purba; sister, Debby Natalie Maukar and brother-in-law, Butje Gandjar; brother in law, Toni Hon and sister in law, Evi Chen; sister-in-law, Tini Hon and brother in law, Benny Hi; and brother-in-law, Victor Hon.
Frank was educated in Adventist Elementary and Middle School - Indonesia and Redlands High School - California. Gepeng was a nickname given by his childhood friends in Indonesia. After high school, he had moved to several states: Nevada, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and New York, then he moved back to Loma Linda, California.
On February 5, 2003, he married Jiu (Annie), and four children were born from this union. Frank was baptized on July 1, 2006, and he was a member of the United Indonesian Seventh Day Adventist Church. Frank was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and children. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
