I first met Debbie while taking country dance lessons years ago. Later,  she and Dan were on the same Dance Cruise to Mexico as I was and we had so much fun!  Those dancing days were really a blast and I know she loved it too.  Then I often saw her at Arthurs after the dancing days were over. She would check my to-go order to make sure everything was right before I left.  
 As we all know, she is a light of sunshine here or in heaven.  She was so generous too with the non-profit I worked for-donating a percentage of sales, letting us set up in the parking lot.  She is truly a great person and will be so missed.   RIP Debbie!

My sister was a beautiful person inside and outside  We will miss her so very much  because she was the glue for all of us so caring and loving. All the family loved her and will miss her terrible.  We love you sister Rest in Peace  with your baby Jesse.  You told me to look up at the clouds and you will be smiling back at me holding baby Jesse those were your last words to me. The first time my family and I went to Arthur’s we were greeted by Debbie!  It was like going into a friends home for breakfast.  Loved be on Facebook with her also. Special person we lost. God bless her family. 

Debbie was the lite of Mentone,  Everyone knew her , Everyone in Mentone went to Arthur's to eat. She was such a beautiful,  caring,  loving person who took care of u and made sure everyone was good at their tables. She was a great friend.  I will miss her and always have her in my heart. Praying for the whole family and the ones who knew her for her loss. She is in piece,  no more pain and with God plus her handsome grandson. 

For the very short time we knew Debbie, her light shone bright upon us.  She was truly a champion of Life.  Love to all the family !!

My Mom Jeannie Baker had fond memories of you, and always kept you in her heart til the day she passed in Aug 2017, she wrote you a card that I found after her passing. I’m not sure if you ever received it, but I was hoping it would find you in good spirits... Rest In Peace you beautiful soul! Now you can party up there with my momma! Give her big hugs and lots of kisses for me! God bless you and your family!

I can't believe she has gone. For years me and Doug Budd from Budds Automotive just a block down from Arthur's would come in for breakfast or lunch, she was always there with a smile, laugh, conversation. I thought she was the most incredible woman ever, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I can't believe she won't be there the next time I walk in. A huge loss for her family and the Mentone community. 

I remember laughing with Debbie when her pig was rolling around in water at her house during a celebration and watching her holding her youngest granddaughter and expressing so much joy. We always visited Debbie's on Sunday after church. Not Arthurs. Debbies. Always her beautiful smile and a hug. When our middle son joined the Navy after 9/11 Debbie started the tribute wall and our son was there. Debbie we are going to miss your smile and your hug. And our reason to come back is now gone.  They say only the good die young you prove that truth.  I know we will meet again and when I get to Heaven I know I will see your smile and the greatest of hugs.  Wait for me my friend and know I will be looking for you.

I first met Debbie when she came to me to hold her wedding/reception to Dan at my location. That was many years ago. Years later, we reconnected at Arthur's and I saw her often when our office would get lunch. She was an amazing woman and the world lost one of the best. RIP Debbie. We love and miss you. 

My oldest son told me about Arthur's Rest.  We would go and have lunch or breakfast when he had his days off or for birthdays.  Debbie was always cheerful and the staff is amazing.  We will continue to go to Arthur's to support the staff.  

 Our family always loves  going to Arthurs restaurant on Sundays! She always made us feel welcome and she always remembered my granddaughters and grandsons  favorite things to eat! She was a wonderful kind woman and will be greatly missed! Prayers for family! Sincerely Sunday Schuyler

.I have been going to ARTHUR'S for many, many years & ALWAYS loved seeing Debbie & getting a huge hug.  It was such a treat seeing her...She ALWAYS made you feel SPECIAL and want to keep coming back..How AWESOME to know that she passed that WONDERFUL gene onto Ashley..She will definitely be missed but her SPIRIT & MEMORY will always be hanging out at ARTHUR'S...R I P sweet Debbie...U R LOVED by so many....Ashley & Dan, our thoughts & prayers are with you as you take this most difficult journey....

I can't think of anyone who has touched more lives than dear sweet Debbie.  I came to know her back in the days when both of our kids attended Crafton Elementary, we connected there while she was selling Tupperware!!  We have stayed connected through the years through Arthurs.  I last saw her in November  at a horsing event/dinner at which time my son Kyle proposed to my future daughter-in-law Sarah.  She was obviously weak and frail but I could not believe how positive and upbeat she was!!  She had that ever present smile on her face.  We can all take a lesson from her!  What an amazing woman and friend.  She will be forever missed and always in our hearts.  

A phenomenal lady who raised a phenomenal family and ran a phenomenal restaurant. One of the warmest people I have ever met. She will be missed and loved by all that knew her.

Thoughts and prayers

We are saddened by the news.
We've been going to Arthur's in Mentone since Art owned it. We knew Debbie since she was a waitress and she eventually owned it. 
She knew our kids since they were babies. 

Debbie paid homage to our 2 sons, Brandon J Hendrix and Michael Hendrix when they became United States Marines by posting their pictures and later including them in a Military collage on the wall.

I liked to describe Arthur's as our "Cheers," as "Everybody knows your name." Well Debbie sure knew our name and we sure knew her's. 

We will continue to visit Arthur's, but it'll never be quite the same. But on the other hand, Debbie's spirit will remain as long as there's Arthur's.

Debbie will always be in the memories and in the hearts of her family, and in her legion of friends and customers. 

RIP DEBBIE YOU WILL BE MISSED.

My dearest memory of Debbie reminds me of what a kind woman she was.  She often came into the Post Office in Mentone and was always a joy to see.  One day after eating my lunch at  Arthurs I (I always had Left overs!)  I forgot my to go bag and here she came, she brought me my leftovers. Who else but Debbie would be so sweet.

My fondest  memory of Debbie was actually this past November at the San Bernardino Horseman's Turkey Ride. She came later that day for the dinner. It was a very special day for me as my boyfriend had just proposed hours earlier on the ride. She grabbed both of my hands and told me how excited she was for me to have found Kyle. I will miss that sweet woman so much :)

I remember that time we went camping at Yucaipa regional and Debbie was holding Baby Jesse sitting at a table. Then all of a sudden the sprinklers came on and sprayed them both. I just remember Debbie trying to protect Baby Jesse and screaming lol. To top it off the water was reclaimed water and it smelled so bad lol. I have many memories but that one always makes me laugh.
