She is survived by her husband, Ines Amparan of 68 years, her sons Joe of Fontana, Albert of Highland, Alonso of San Marcos, Bernardo of Hesperia, Roger of Redlands, 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was the second eldest of 9 children born to Bernardo and Refugio Fernandez Camacho of Villa Lopez, Chihuahua, Mexico. She is survived by 4 of her siblings including her eldest sister Tula Moriel of Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico; Rafael Fernandez of Armendariz, Chihuahua, Mexico; Marta Garcia of Highland, California and Martin Fernandez of Armendariz, Chihuahua, Mexico.
Cecilia and Ines married in the small town of Saucillo, Chihuahua, Mexico on January 1, 1955 and shortly immigrated to the United States settling in the little town of Maple, Texas where her husband, Ines, worked as a Sharecopper. During this period, she gave birth to her 5 sons and 2 daughters both of which did not survive child birth. They remain interned in the cemetery just outside the city of Muleshoe, Texas.
They moved to California in 1966 settling in the city of East Highland, California where they made their home to the present day.
Cecilia held a brief employment through out her life but was primarily a home maker. She was deeply religious and faithful in her Catholic upbringing and spent many hours dedicated too and assisting at the St. Bosco Catholic Church in East Highland, California.
A visitation for Cecilia will be held Monday, November 27, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Montecito Valley View Chapel, 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, CA 92324. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 1205 Columbia Street, Redlands, CA 92374. Cecilia will be laid to rest after the services at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, CA 92324.
