Anna Mae Day, a retired homemaker and a resident in the Inland Empire of Southern California, passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 93. She was born in Monessen, PA on July 20, 1931 to Omer R and Elizabeth J Ambrose. She was the third daughter in the Ambrose family having two older sisters Mary and Betty and a younger brother William. She moved with her family from Pennsylvania to California with her family in her early teens. She attended Colton High School graduating in 1949 and a year after graduation she married her high school sweetheart and together had three sons, Terry, David and Larry. It was in her first marriage that she learned of the Seventh-Day Adventists church through her mother-in-law and was baptized into the Church in 1953. She and her family would relocate to San Bernardino. Besides raising her sons, she was devoted to her faith and her church both in San Bernardino and then later at Arden Hills SDA Church in Highland.
Following the dissolution of her first marriage, Anna Mae in 1971 would meet Jim Day, who would a year later become her second husband. It was through her relationship with the Lord that Jim would convert to Adventism. They moved to Highland and he would join her in becoming involved Arden Hills SDA Church. Following the death of her beloved husband Jim in 2020 her memories would begin to fade and she spent her remaining time in assisted living facilities, where she was loved by all her met her. She will be remembered for her loving nature, humble heart, her generosity and her passion for the Lord her Savior and His second coming.
Anna Mae is survived by her son David Majors, along with his wife. Also survived by her step daughter and her spouse and the spouses of her predeceased son and predeceased stepson. She is also leaving behind their beloved 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She will remain an inspiration of faith and love forever in our hearts.
