Virginia Carleen Robinson, 88, was born May 17, 1929 in Greeley, Colorado. She had grown up in Greeley and Colorado Springs. Carleen taught for School District 11 for over 25 years; she worked on the planning committee for the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo and Parade; she volunteered as a docent at the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo; and worked at the Simpich Doll store in Old Colorado City.
She married Doug Robinson (deceased) on June 12, 1954, at First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs. She raised three children: Elaine Tubbs of Westcliff, CO (deceased), Carol Robinson of Colo. Springs (deceased), and Craig Robinson of Colo. Springs. Carleen has two grown grandchildren, Nicole Robinson of Colo. Springs and Grant Robinson of Ft. Collins.
She is survived by two of her brothers, Dale Boyer of Morrison, and Ken Boyer of Colo. Springs.
Carleen and Doug were members of First Presbyterian Church and Covenant Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, and The Living Word Church in Calhan, CO.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 10:00 a.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2845 Parliament Drive, Colorado Springs. Reception to follow.
