Steven passed away peacefully at home from heart failure. Born in Afton, Wy, he was raised in San Mateo, CA. Married Debra White 08/13/76 in Oakland, CA. He then moved his family to Colorado Springs in 1989, where he began his sole proprietorship of Decade Carpet Cleaning.
Survived by his wife and five children, Natalie J. Brooks, Brooke J. Borish, Joshua Paul, Kevin Grant and Timothy Steven as well as 10 grandchildren.
His love of sports included his favorite teams of the SF Giants and 49ers. He played on several city and church softball leagues as well as refereeing basketball and umpiring softball games through out the years. He also enjoyed his coin collection he started as a young boy.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission in the Virginia-North Carolina mission from 1973 to 1975. His dedication to his church callings inspired many as he actively served to help others increase their faith in Christ.
A viewing will be held at Mountain View Mortuary 2350 Montebello Sq. Dr. on Thursday July 26th from 5:00-8:00.
Funeral services will be held at the LDS Meadowland Stake Center, 4955 Meadowland Blvd on Friday, July 27th at 11:00 am. With internment to follow service at Evergreen Cemetery.
