Steven Adrian Hawkinson

Steven Adrian Hawkinson, passed away on September 14, 2018, surrounded by family. He was born to Adrian and Martha Hawkinson on September 4, 1956 in Forrest Lake, Minnesota. He moved with his family to Colorado Springs in 1969.

Steve graduated from Palmer High School in 1975 and moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he worked in construction. He returned to Colorado Springs in 1977 and as a General Contractor started a construction company in partnership with his dad.

He married Barbara (Heeke) Hawkinson, the love of his life, in 1983. They have two sons, Michael Hawkinson and Andrew (Nicole) Hawkinson. In addition, he is survived by his mother, Martha Hawkinson; sisters: Cassandra Lewis and Christine Hawkinson; numerous sister-in-law and brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

Steve enjoyed dancing, karaoke, fishing, hunting and traveling.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., as well Friday, September 21st at 9:00 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 10:00 a.m., all services held at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
