The world was blessed when Bob was born in Jamaica on August 13, 1951 to Louis Alvarez and Macy Gladdins, whom he loved dearly. After high school Bob went on to earn his master’s degree from Troy State University and joined the United States Air Force in 1979. Bob continued his education in the military with Squadron Officer school in 1984. He received the Air Force Commendation medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster (OLC), Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with three Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, and Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon with three Oak Leaf Clusters. After retirement from the United States Air Force, he started working as a Systems Engineer in the Missile Defense Division with Northrop and Grumman where he would retire again in 2022.
Bob met the love of his life, Lilly in 2005. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married in 2006. Bob had a soft spot for his furry friends, treating each one like the valuable family member they were. He was blessed to have Izzy and Sadie in his life and loved them dearly.
