Regi was born on June 6, 1961 in Indiana at the Grissom Air Force Base to Robert Ann Corbitt and Charles Henry Corbitt. He was the third of five children.
Due to his father's military career, he moved around frequently during his youth. The family eventually settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he grew up alongside his siblings. He graduated from General William Mitchell High School in 1979. Following high school, he pursued further education at the University of Southern Colorado, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983. Pursuing a career in Social Work, eventually following his passion for cooking, becoming a well-known chef for many restaurants, olympics and especially his family.
Regi never met a stranger and once a friend, always a friend. He took pride in his ability to change the atmosphere of any room with his funny jokes and gestures, setting the tone wherever he went. Especially when wearing his black & yellow in support of his favorite NFL team the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Reginald leaves behind loving children Gerine Corbitt and Reginald Corbitt II (wife- Shayanna Corbitt); precious grandchildren Aniyah Jenkins, Aydain Jenkins, Reginald Corbitt III (Tre) and Jacobi Anderson; siblings Greg, Beverly, Brian and Robin; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Regi is now reunited with parents and significant other Paula who preceded him in death.
