At a young age he worked in the potato fields in Colorado and Idaho. He joined the armed forces (Army) from April 25, 1965 to April 24, 1969. His first tour was to Stuttgart, Germany and his second tour was to Vietnam. Upon returning to the states, he moved his family to Colorado Springs in 1968. He started working at Daniels Chevrolet. Then he worked 25 years for Harrison School District 2 as a building manager.
Ralph was a loving and caring husband, dad, and grandpa to his family. He was a man of immense humor and shared many cherished moments with his loved ones. His unwavering spirit will forever be remembered.
Ralph enjoyed fishing, dabbling in woodworking, and taking sight-seeing trips to Cripple Creek for a joyful gambling day. He had a tradition of taking all the grandchildren to Cripple Creek when they turned 21.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents Lucita and Cleofes , a daughter Jeanette, a son James, a son-in-law Freddy, brothers Barney, Joe, Beebee, Ben, Rufino, Louis; a sister Lydia and grandson Nathaniel.
He is survived by his wife, Janet, a brother Jerry (Cecilia), a son Brian (Stephanie), his daughters Rita (Matt), Glenda (Fereti), Tiffany (Eric), granddaughters Alexandria (Brian), Natasha, Nikki, Mia, Rylah, grandsons James (April), Carlos, Nolan, Bannon, Eric (Shacara), and Anthony (Kanesha), great grandsons Nathaniel M., Letomia Ralph, and a great granddaughter, Faith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation, followed by Rosary, Reception, and Funeral Mass will be held Thursday June 13, 2024 starting at 10:00am, at Swan Law Funeral Directors at 501 N. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Burial will then follow at Pikes Peak National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
