Peter was born in Bristol, England on August 31st, 1958. While attending school he played football (soccer) and rugby and loved sailing with his dad and siblings. He joined the London Metropolitan Police force at 16 and after five years of service, decided to travel the world. Fate brought Robin into Peter’s life as he fell in love and moved to California where they started their family and careers. His work ethic and ambition allowed him to move up in the construction industry and took the Searles to Colorado, where he continued a successful career and lived for over 26 years. Pete loved to sail, ski, spend time with his family, travel, watch sports, and always enjoyed a good pint.
Family members will be scattering Peter’s ashes in his favorite places to spend time: the ocean and the mountains. Family, friends, and members of his community are invited to join the Searle family on Saturday, October 10, 2020, at 10am MST for a celebration of life. Join us via live stream at https://livestream.com/rmclive/specialevents or in person at the Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel on 4285 North Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80918 (please note social distancing and masks will be enforced).
Peter is survived by his sister Kate Straker; his wife Robin Searle; his children Ashlyn Valentine, Brendon Searle, and Tristan Searle; and his grandchild Sawyer Searle. He is predeceased by his father Robert Searle; his mother Barbara Searle; and his brothers David Searle and Timothy Searle. His tireless love and devotion to his family were evident and his legacy will live on through our memories of his stories and laughter.
