Trish loved the Lord, her family, and life. She never met a stranger. A simple “hi” and her big warm smile could brighten anyone’s day. That one word and that amazing smile drew you in and often led to random conversations with complete strangers. Her laugh was the sweetest sound, and she was the epitome of kindness and compassion. If you were fortunate enough to meet her, she was impossible not to love.
Patricia attended Garfield Elementary, North Junior High, and graduated from Palmer High School. She sought higher education at Pikes Peak Community College and went on to serve our Military Troops for over 30 years until she retired from the Department of Defense. During those 30 years, she developed life-long friendships with co-workers and the troops she served; always remembering that it’s not what you do but how you make people feel.
She loved gardening, fishing, and working out at the gym. She spent summers in Oklahoma with family, relaxing on the farm. She enjoyed taking week-long fishing trips with her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Henry (“Steve”) Stevens and Trish married on March 21, 1991, and resided in Colorado Springs, CO. Throughout their 32 years, he has always been the absolute love of her life. They enjoyed taking long drives, music, dancing, and spending time together.
Trish is survived by family that loved her to the ends of the earth: her spouse, Henry Stevens, her daughter, Lisa Bowers-McCathen, and her granddaughter, Kelci McCathen.
Her marriage brought additional blessings: children, Michelle and Kevin Stevens, grandchildren, Savanah, Elijah, Jesiah, Vanessa, and great-grandsons, Roman and Madden (due November 1, 2023).
She is missed by her maternal siblings, Claudean Brooks and Herbert Lee Bragg, and paternal siblings, Tracy Martin, Joseph Jackson, Larnell Gray, and Diane Gray.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MtViewMortuary.com for the Stevens family.
