Pamela June (Rose) Anthony, 66, of Monument, Colorado, was unexpectedly called to her Heavenly home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. Her infectious smile, laughter, and joy will be missed by all who knew and love her.
Pam was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on June 5th, 1955, to Edwin R. and Alta M. (Busacker) Rose. In 8th grade while attending Scottsbluff Junior High, she met the love of her life, Ivan D. Anthony. Pam and Ivan dated throughout high school, and she graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1973. She and Ivan went on to be married on March 2, 1974, and celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage together.
In her early years, Pam worked at the Dash Inn, Kings, and then Nile Valley Savings & Loan and Western National Bank in Nebraska. Pam, Ivan and their two children moved to Colorado in 1983. There she was a wonderful homemaker, dedicated mother, and helped Ivan run their business. She was Ivan’s ultimate help-mate and supported him wherever he went.
When Pam first came to know the Lord as a child, she and her family attended First Baptist Church of Scottsbluff. After moving to Colorado, they attended First Baptist Church of Colorado Springs, Tri-Lakes Chapel in Monument, and then helped establish their church home at NorthWord in Monument. She had a heart for the Lord, volunteered at church, and her desire was for everyone to have a relationship with Jesus. Pam was active with Christian Women’s Club, Bible Study Fellowship, and church home groups. She also enjoyed doing yoga and water aerobics, riding on the motorcycle with her husband, traveling and cruises, and camping at the lake with her family. Her favorite word was JOY and she was “joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12).
Besides her faith, family was the most important thing to Pam. She had devoted her life to her husband and children, and she absolutely loved being a Grana. She enjoyed over 50 years of Busacker family reunions, and many holidays and vacations were scheduled to be with family. Pam leaves behind her husband, Ivan Anthony; her son, Davin (Rebekah) Anthony; her daughter, Keeli (Jake) Keeler; her grandchildren Elijah, Danielle, Ellinore and Evelyn Anthony and fur-grandchildren Anoki and Rosie Keeler; her father-in-law Irvin Anthony (Cathy Teppert); her sister Penny (Jim) Hilzer; step-sisters Belle (Donnie) French and Debbie Dickinson; sister-in-law Esther Benson; brother-in-law Eldon (Kathy) Anthony; and many beloved nephews, a niece, cousins and friends. Pam’s father Edwin Rose, mother Alta Dickinson, step-father John Dickinson, mother-in-law Dona (Hunt) Anthony, grandbaby John Anthony, sister-in-law Diana Yarnall and her husband Larry, step-brother Bill Dickinson, and her many aunts and uncles welcomed her home.
A celebration of Pam’s life and legacy will be held at 11am on Friday, January 28th, 2022, in the Stone Chapel at Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs, Colorado. (280 E. Woodmen Road, Colorado Springs, CO. 80919)
