With profound sadness and enduring gratitude, we announce the passing of Paige Townsend, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and cherished member of our community. Paige left this earthly realm peacefully on August 19, 2024, leaving us too soon, but her spirit remains eternal.
Born in 1962 in Wiesbaden, Germany, to a dedicated USAF military family, Paige embraced her life with a profound connection to both faith and nature. Her soul found solace and inspiration in our Colorado Rocky Mountains, where she would seek the quiet word of God and the beauty of creation. Whether hiking through Palmer Park or simply being amidst the grandeur of the outdoors, Paige nurtured her spirit and deepened her bond with God.
Paige was a beacon of unwavering faith and an embodiment of warmth and generosity. Her love and devotion were manifest in her relationships with her husband, Doug Birkner, her daughter Audrea and her grandchildren Ethan and Evelyn. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many with her kindness and willingness to serve.
Survived by her loving husband Doug Birkner of 18 years, his parents Harry and Marilyn, her daughter Audrea Simmons, her husband Steve Simmons, her dear grandchildren Ethan Bogart and Evelyn Bogart, her brother Stephen Perry, his wife, a sister to her, Susan Perry as well as Paige’s remaining siblings. Paige’s legacy is a testament to the power of faith, love, and familial devotion. She leaves behind a profound imprint on all who knew her—a reminder of the strength and serenity found in a life dedicated to God and the beauty of the natural world.
A service to celebrate Paige's remarkable life will be held on August 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Rocky Mountain Calvary, located at 4285 N. Academy Blvd., followed by her burial at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy. We invite all who knew Paige to join us in honoring her memory and sharing in the love she so generously gave.
Paige couldn’t avoid death, but during her life she made arrangements for how she will spend eternity with God. Paige will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever resonate in our hearts.
We love and will miss you Paige.
