Nathaniel Hampton

Nate joined the army in 1978 at the age of 18 and served until his honorable discharge in 1986. After serving his country, he served his state becoming a paramedic for a few years. After serving his state, he served his city driving cabs. Most of the people he transported were regular customers. He took great pride in making sure his work family made it to school, hospital appointments and work on time. He loved to help others. He later attended college for Culinary Arts and became an entrepreneur with his hot dog stand, Nate Dogs. In his passing he leaves to mourn, his children, Nathaniel Hampton (Skylar), Crystal Hampton (Nelson Hayes, Sr.) and Tonya Hampton-Dillard (Shawn). One adopted daughter, Marjorie Morrison-Quilter; brothers, Sam Hampton (Rosline) and Raymond Hampton; sister, Brenda Hampton. 11 grandchildren; Tyquan Brown, Nathan Morrison, Dustin Torezze, Kyla Hampton, Tyreik Buffalo, Deontray Baker, Taylor Dillard, Journe’ Hayes, Morrison-James Quilter, Jada Dillard and Ja’niya Hayes; one great-grandchild, Joseph Williams, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Nate was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Virginia; two sisters, Virginia and Catherine Hampton; one brother, Dewey Hampton and his son-in-law, James Quilter.
