Madonna "Donna" Kelly

August 27, 1922- March 1, 2012

Donna (McCabe) Kelly passed away March 1 in Colorado Springs after a sudden illness. She was surrounded by friends and family.

Donna was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, graduating in 1940 from Storm Lake High School. She moved to Washington, DC and over the next decade worked at Pentagon and various military installations throughout the country.

Donna married Edward Kelly of Fonda, Iowa, on December 29, 1954. They had three children: Kevin (Mary) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Karen (Dominic Villescas) of Dallas, Texas and Steven (Sara) Kelly of Urbandale, Iowa. Donna was devoted to her family and loved traveling to visit her grandchildren and support them in their lives and activities.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband in 2008, her parents Albert and Ellen McCabe and her seven siblings: Maurice (her twin), Frances, Thomas, Theresa, Daniel, Murray and Richard. She is survived by her children and six grandchildren: Brian Kelly, Anastaisa Villescas, Megan Kelly, Shannon Kelly, Kate Kelly and Alex Kelly.

A visitation will be held at Swan Law Funeral Directors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Funeral mass will be at Our Lady of The Pines Catholic Church Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Storm Lake, IA.
