Arthur was born on September 7, 1947 in Romeo, Colorado and passed away with family by his side on June 4, 2020 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was a tool and dye maker in the Colorado Springs area for many years. He loved his tools and shopping for new ones, he always had the right tool for the right job. He was a very organized man, and a methodical thinker. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing camping, riding his motorcycle (until he became unable to) and playing golf. He enjoyed all kinds of puzzles; including diamond art and 3-D. His family remembers him fondly as always dancing and smiling – even while he was working. He will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Judy; mother, Estella Rivera; children, Berlinda (Jack) Giambrone, Donald (Brenda) Rivera, Eloise Guthals, Corey (Katie) Rivera and Amanda Rivera; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Anthony (Linda) Rivera, sister, Arlene (Roger) Martinez and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donaciano Rivera and brother, Arnold Rivera.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10th, 4:00pm-8:00pm at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs CO 80903.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 11th, 9:30am-10:00am, with Rosary starting at 10:00am and Mass at 11:00am all at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs CO 80907.
A committal service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy., Colorado Springs CO 80903.
Light refreshments will be offered to family and friends afterwards at Corey’s residence: 843 Hans Brinker St., Colorado Springs CO 80907.
Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks and practice social distancing during all events.
