Lewis R. (Bob) Burton born May 27, 1918 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and his son, Mark. Bob graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1941 and was commissioned in May 1941 through ROTC. He was an Eagle Scout and active in scouting with his son. Bob was active in the community, the Friends of the Library, Rotary and the Boy Scouts. He was President of the Pikes Peak Library District. Bob is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris Welsh Burton, his daughter Nancy Burton Davis, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at Village at Skyline - Brookdale Senior Living, 2365 Patriot Heights, Colorado Springs, CO 80904 on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery.
