Leslie A. Fleeman, a U. S. Air Force veteran and a long-time resident of Colorado Springs, CO. She left to be with Christ, her Savior on January 16, 2021 at the age of 66. Leslie passed peacefully surrounded by her husband and sons by her side.
Leslie is survived by her husband, Virgil Fleeman; her brother, Mike Mahalek; her children, Chris and Sean Fleeman; and her grandchildren, Katelyn, Joseph Fleeman and Olivia Anderson-Fleeman. She is predeceased by her father and mother Joseph and Mercedes Mahalek.
Leslie was born in Big Spring, TX. on August 8, 1954 to Joseph and Mercedes (Poquette) Mahalek. She proudly served in the U. S. Air Force from 1974 – 1982. After honorably serving our country, she worked as a bookkeeper and executive assistant.
Leslie joined Virgil in Holy Matrimony on October 28,1982. Virgil is an electrical engineer and her soulmate.
Leslie was a devoted wife and avid reader. She enjoyed traveling, camping, skiing, and speaking about the things she adored. She was known for her love of animals and for partaking in the simple pleasures of life. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Unfortunately, due to the ongoing pandemic, there will not be a public funeral service. Leslie will be interred at the Pikes Peak Veterans Cemetery Colorado on March 19th, 2021. After internment there will be a celebration of Leslie’s life for her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, etc., we request a donation be made to a cancer research charity of your choice in her name.
