John and his wife (Judy) moved to Colorado in 1983 to fulfill a long-held retirement dream to look out over the Rockies. John was an avid outdoorsman and was a proud member of the Adirondacks Forty-Sixers, having climbed 46 peaks over 4,000 feet. He continued to hike and climb well into his later years.
Prior to his retirement, John worked as an Electrical Engineer with several companies including GE, TRW, and Ball Aerospace. He also served in the US Navy stationed in the South Seas during WWII.
John lived most of his life in Central New York and was widowed by his first wife (Patricia Collins) while raising five children. He used his strong will and perseverance to see himself through this loss. Fortunes allowed for a new start and marriage to his current wife (Judy Howe Trimble) who shared his passion for hiking, camping and all things outdoors.
John will always be remembered as a man who never wavered in his commitments to his family and loved ones. His honesty and integrity were bar none.
He is survived by:
His wife, Judith (Howe) Trimble
His children:
Patrick (Joe) Trimble of Syracuse, NY
Theresa Trimble (Anibal Lopes) of Raleigh, NC
Diane Trimble of Baldwinsville, NY
Linda Trimble of Philadelphia, PA
And 6 grand-children and 4 great-grand-children, and several nephews and nieces
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by both sisters (Emily Zemenz & Eunice Black) and by his youngest son, Robert John Trimble.
Per his wishes, no funeral or memorial services will be held. He will be laid to rest in his wife’s (Judy) family plot at Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse, New York.
