Dr. Jerry R. Roberts

August 19, 1933 – June 10, 2010

Dr. Jerry R. Roberts was born on August 19th, 1933 in Farwell, Texas to John and Freda Roberts. Jerry graduated from Clovis N.M. High School in 1951. He earned a BA in Chemistry from University of Texas at Austin in 1957 and graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1961. Jerry married Charlotte Ruhmann on June 4th, 1961 in Richardson, Texas. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1965 to start his private practice. Twice during his career he served as Head of Obstetrics at Memorial Hospital. Jerry retired in 1998 to enjoy his family and his hobbies which include computers, hunting and flying.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and two of his brothers, Robert and Mike.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte; his sons, Bruce (Cami) Roberts, Bill (Theresa) Roberts and his daughter, Kirstin (Edwin) Blume; his sisters, Billie Tipton of Oregon, Peggy (Don) Schmidt of Nebraska and his brother, Don Roberts of California, as well as six grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 21st, 2010 at 2PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with the inurnment to follow.
