Jean Gessner

Jean Elizabeth (Kile) Gessner, a Colorado Springs native, passed away on December 18, 2021, in her home in Colorado Spring, surrounded by family. She was born on August 24, 1928, to Fred and Dorrit Kile. She was united in marriage to Floyd Wesley Gessner on May 28, 1953. She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty five years, her parents, a sister, Lois and two brothers, Keith and Paul Kile.

She enjoyed teaching prior to marriage and delighted in being a wife, mother and homemaker following.

She is survived by her three daughters, Marilyn (Carlton) McKay, Sharon Kennedy and Mardella (Rob) Ganger, Six grandchildren, Norman (Kristina) McKay, Karen McKay, Tyler and Tucker Kennedy and Kylan and Lexie Ganger, three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jax and Aliana McKay and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 5-8 at Swan Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11 am at the Foothills Missionary Church, 2500 Busch Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.

Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th St, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.
