Jim served WWII in the US Navy assigned to CVE 105, the Commencement Bay Air Division. When discharged, he went home and finished high school, graduating from Saint Mary’s High School in 1947. October 2015, he was chosen for the WWII Honor Flight, traveled to Washington, DC WWII Memorial.
Jim married Lillian Alice (Peirick) in 1954. They were married for 49 years, when the Lord called her home in 2003.
He worked for Town Talk Bread for 13 years, then in 1965 Jim began a long career with Sinton Dairy. He delivered milk door to door, serving Black Forest, Rockrimmon, and Woodman Valley. He loved his route and customers. Jim retired from Sinton Dairy in 1992, but continued working for several years.
He loved to take his family camping in the beautiful Colorado Mountains. He enjoyed ocean cruises with his daughters. Jim was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus.
Jim is survived by 5 daughters, Janette (Scott) Pashby, Mary Brown, Fran (Scott) Charles, Joan (Jim) Valverde, and Chris (Dan) Tarwater; 2 sons, Jim (Terry) and Bill (Sevine) Peck, and son-in-law Tom Senne; 24 Grandchildren and 27 Great-Grandchildren, sister Catherine Conrad, 3 brothers Frank (Carole), Richard (Marlene), and Michael (Mary) Peck, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jim was reunited in heaven with his wife Lillian, daughter Lillian Senne, Granddaughter Jessica Valverde, sisters Marjorie Hoffman and Marie Peck, son-in-law John Brown.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday November 2, 2016 with Rosary 7:00PM, Swan Law Funeral Home 501 N Cascade Ave.
Funeral Mass Thursday November 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 6455 Brook Park Dr. with lunch reception immediately following.
