After a brave and courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, June 5th, 2011 at Penrose Hospital, in his 83rd year of life, beloved husband of Ingeborg whom he recently celebrated his 62nd wedding anniversary with; loving father of Ingrid, Erika, Heinz, Ursula, and David; dear brother of Hildegard, Ursula, and Thea; uncle of many nieces and nephews; and a devoted grandfather to his many grandchildren Heinrich Patz departed from this world.
Henry, as he preferred to be called, was born in Bremen, Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1952. He finally settled in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1968. For the majority of Henry’s life, he worked as a carpenter for the local 515 until he retired from the profession in 1985. In his free time, Henry enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading and doing puzzles with his family. Henry dedicated himself endlessly to his family, craftsmanship, and the community.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Swan Law Funeral Home on Thursday June 9th, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. and to funeral services at Swan Law Funeral Home on June 10th 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will at Evergreen Cemetery.
