Gloria M. Thatcher, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born in Livingston, Montana on September 21, 1928, the forth of four children born to the late Louis and Mary Pugliano.
Gloria graduated from Park High School in 1947. After graduation, she attended business school in Spokane, Washington. Afterward she was employed by Northern Pacific Railroad Co. as a Payroll Administrative Specialist. She also worked for a while as a Payroll Specialist with the Union Oil Company at Great Falls, Montana.
Gloria met and married her husband, Clark Thatcher (who was a member of the US Air Force) in Great Falls, Montana. She adapted to military life as a wife and mother for over 20 years, and they travelled much, living in many states over the years. After Clark’s retirement from the Air Force, they settled in El Paso, Texas and lived there for over 30 years. They resettled to Colorado Springs in 2004 to be near family.
Family and friends were important to Gloria and she mad many life-long friends along the way. Gloria was an excellent cook, and she loved to entertain in her home.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: devoted husband, Clark; loving children Paula (Harold) Bettes of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Anthony (Katie) Thatcher of Midland, Texas; precious grandchildren, Marisa, Trey, Travis, Chandler, Charity, Chase, Chance, Charlton and Chet; plus 16 great grandchildren and two loving nieces.
