George Michael Schreyer passed away peacefully on August 25th, 2023, in Monument, Colorado at the age of seventy-six. He was born on September 19th, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. George is preceded in death by his mother and father, George W. and Lois Schreyer, and his sister, Carol Haberkorn. George married Peggy Burkes on January 1, 1972, and together they had two children, George B. and Sam Schreyer. George’s love of aviation led to a career as a pilot for Air Midwest and United Airlines. He deeply loved his wife of over fifty years and greatly treasured his family and many wonderful friends. George is survived by his wife Peggy, sons George B. and Sam, grandson David, and others in his extended family. He will be dearly missed by many.
