George was born on January 17, 1938 in Pueblo, Colorado to Blanche and George Fee, Sr. He was an only child.
George started singing when he was a boy. He was asked by a teacher to join a church choir and sang even into his last days. Music was one of his great joys in life. He not only participated in numerous choirs, but played the guitar and was an avid sheet music collector. His vocal experience included church choirs, barbershop quartets, musical theater, and performing wherever he could.
Besides being musical, George was known as an incredible Star Trek and science fiction fan, for telling humorous puns and informative stories, and for his many years as a teacher.
As a young man, George spent four years in the Navy where he was stationed in Hawaii in the middle of a pineapple field. He hated pineapple ever after, but he always loved to travel. In retirement, George moved to Axixic, Mexico and spent many years among the other snow-birds. He also traveled extensively to places such as Turkey, Greece, and Ecuador.
George married Marilyn on December 26, 1967. They lived in Nevada, Colorado, and then Louisiana, where George worked on the oil rigs and Marilyn taught in an elementary school. They eventually settled in Colorado Springs where Marilyn and George both worked as teachers. Marilyn passed away in 2000.
George is survived by his children Werner, Amanda, Erick, and Pandora. He and Marilyn also took care of over 30 foster children.
