Felicita is survived by her husband William “Bill” Robbie, her daughters, Terrie Robbie (Leslie Hilderbrandt), Sharon VanderPoel (Pete) and sons, David Robbie (Jolinda Cohavi), and James Robbie (Kathy). She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Richard and Vincent Zarlengo, sister Betty Horan, and daughter, Carol Robbie.
Filly grew up in Denver, CO, and went to Holy Family High School and Regis University and was a very devout Catholic. She met her husband, Bill, on a blind date and they married on January 21, 1956, and had five children. She was their mentor, confidant, and best friend and was always there with loving support.
Filly worked at Foley’s as a cosmetic consultant for twenty five years and loved helping her customers and working with the ladies behind the counter. It was her perfect niche, because she was so beautiful and loved making others look their best.
She loved animals and had three dogs (Spritz, Chelsie, and Lucy) and four cats (Gigi, Fifi, Pebbles, and Crosby). She supported many charitable organizations including the Humane Society and St. Jude’s Children’s hospital.
Filly was feisty and independent and said exactly what she was thinking. She was a great storyteller and loved playing Mahjong, going to Cripple Creek, Vail, and socializing with friends and going to Bon Vivant’s and her two dinner groups. She loved people and was very inquisitive about each and every person she met. She befriended work associates, neighbors, and the team of home health care staff and was loved by many.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 19th at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 9 El Pomar Road, Colorado Springs, CO. A reception at the church will immediately follow.
