She was born on 7-16-1950 to Alvis Olah Wilson Jr and Eva Callis Wilson in McAllen, Texas.
Liz graduated from Pharr San Juan Alamo (PSJA) High School in 1968 and was a member of their marching band.
She married Robert John O'Neal, Sr (Bob) on 7-27-1970 and they had three children, Damien Lee O'Neal, Robert John O'Neal II, and Dori Alexis O'Neal. Liz retired from Focus on the Family in 2008 after 17 years with that ministry and served as an administrative assistant. Her life's focus was first to her husband of 50 plus years, Bob, their three children and seven grandchildren, all who deeply loved her. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, as well as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She honored her Lord and family in every way! Liz's passing from this life to her eternal home is indeed reason to celebrate, although she will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. While her family was most important to her, she enjoyed working in her garden, cooking and baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time traveling in their RV.
Liz is survived by her husband Bob, their three children Damien Lee O'Neal, Robert John O'Neal II (Liz), and Dori Alexis O'Neal. She is also survived by seven grandchildren Kyla Pryse (AJ), Kelsea O'Neal, Dillon O'Neal, Conner O'Neal, Gavon O'Neal, Jaron O'Neal, and Noah O'Neal, all of Colorado Springs, Colorado and her sister Diana Bishop (Robert Wayne) of Harlingen, Texas.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents Alvis Olah Wilson Jr, her father and Eva Callis Wilson, her mother, her sisters Shirley Jean Smith (Robert Lynn), Judaka Massey (David), and Neva Lois Boller (William Milton Jr)
Celebration of Life services will be held at the Swan Law Funeral Home chapel in a private family service on February 5th at 11:00 AM, Pastor Mike Biedermann officiating.
Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Colorado Springs, Colorado
