Ret. MSGT Earl Joseph Laurie Sr. age 84 passed August 6, 2013 from a long illness.
Earl was born August 12, 1928 to Ira Edgar Laurie and Anna Margaret (Hetu) in
Pawtucket, RI.
Preceded in death by his son Earl Joseph Laurie Jr. of Colorado Springs, his three
Brothers Leo I Laurie, Edward E Laurie and Raymond E Laurie all of Pawtucket, RI.
Earl is survived by his three children; son Lee Roland Laurie and his two daughters
Jimi Frances Reed (Mike), and Colette Christina Cook (Dennis Gayton), five
Grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren all of Colorado.
Earl joined the USAF in 1946 and served in various countries including Vietnam.
He retired from the military in 1967. He retired from the United States Olympic
Training Center in 1993. Earl was an American patriot who proudly served his
Country over 21 years. A pressed uniform and a set of polished shoes were kept in
closet, and he always said “I’m ready to go”. He was an accomplished marksman,
horseman, and animal lover. He will greatly be missed.
There will be a viewing Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Memorial
Gardens. The Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm at
Memorial Gardens.
