Denise Lynn Schawe

Denise was born November 4, 1957 in Colorado Springs, CO to her loving parents, Russell Schawe and Mary Gleason. She grew up in Colorado, graduating High School at Coronado High School in Colorado Springs.

She then moved to Kansas, pursuing a career at Farmers Insurance Company as an insurance representative.

Denise was described by her family as simply selfless. She had a passion for being with her grandchildren and loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved to cross-stitch, bowl and was an avid reader. The holiday season was her favorite time of the year, baking for her family and spending countless hours with them; including her siblings, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Greg Schawe and Robert Schawe.

She is survived by her sisters, Debbie Schladt, Delaine Winkelblech, Darlene Schawe, Danette Stinson, and by her brothers, Mark Schawe and Stan Schawe. She is also survived by her son, Jeffrey Schawe, his wife Robin, and their children Blake Schawe and Kennedy Schawe.

A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11am at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, CO.
