Dave attended Steele and Jefferson Elementary schools, East Junior High School and Rampart High School.
He entered the U.S. Army and served as a satellite photo analyst on a four year enlistment. He was very proud of his military service. He served in Heidelberg, Germany as well as several stateside Army Forts.
David was an accomplished artist and musician and had done some song writing in the past. He was a very accomplished bassist and trumpeter. Dave played with a local rock group named “Big Heater” and periodically sat in with other local musicians and groups. He spent most of his post military career working in the plumbing supply industry and as a class A CDL driver both over the road and local.
His passing was unexpected. His Mom and older brother Gerald both preceded him in death in 1986.
He is survived by oldest brother George and by his Dad, Donald R. Lloyd, both of Colorado Springs.
A graveside service will be Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:00 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery. Jim DeJarnette, Minister of Music for First Presbyterian Church will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church Music Dept. in David name.
