Colleen M. Geier, beloved wife, mother, sister and mimi passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2022, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born December 29, 1961 in Garden City, Kansas and was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Geier; sister Pamela Geier and brother Max Geier.
Colleen graduated from Garden City High School and went on to pursue her passion as a floral designer for 30+ years; at Wharton’s and Porter’s Flowers in Garden City, KS and then Skyway in Colorado Springs, CO.
Colleen is survived by her devoted husband and best friend, Bob Buren; loving children, Beau Buren & Shea Buren both of Colorado Springs, CO; precious granddaughter, Henley Grace Buren of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Mark Geier of Garden City, KS and Terry Geier of Hutchinson, KS; sister, Debra Geier of Garden City, KS; nephews, Bret Geier and Theron Geier both of Garden City, KS and grand-nephews Cade, Slayd and Grayson.
Colleen will forever be remembered for her incredible talent with flowers and ability to turn anything into an artistic masterpiece. Her love for music, specifically AC/DC, was heard in every room of the house if it was up to her. She enjoyed vacationing to the cabins in Lake City, CO, where she would fish and embrace the beauty of the rocky mountains with her other half. But the view from her back porch was hands down her favorite.
A Funeral Service will take place Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO with a Celebration of Life being held in Garden City, Kansas in the coming weeks.
