Christopher Ryan Schumacher, a dear son, grandson, and brother passed away Sunday March 22nd, 2015 doing what he truly loved; hiking in the Colorado Mountains. Chris was born on December 12th, 1986 in Bay Shore, New York where he soon moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado igniting his outdoor drive from the very start.
From hockey to hiking and skiing Chris had a true passion for not only the Colorado outdoors but for exploring. He was a man full of life with a bright personality and quirky sense of humor. His heart was larger than life and when he wasn’t climbing a Colorado 14’er you could find him enjoying a Colorado Avalanche or Denver Broncos game.
Chris is survived by his father, Kevin; mother, Lois; grandmother, Eleanor; sisters Nicole, Melissa, and Taylor; nephews Mason and Jackson; as well as his beloved dog Riley.
His celebration of life service followed by reception will be held on April 1st 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson United Methodist Church 6460 Flying W Ranch Rd. Colorado Springs, CO 80919
