Had a dream about you last night my dearest B . I miss you every day. I tried going back asleep to see you again but I was so excited to see you my mind wouldn't let me drift back off. You will always be in my mind and heart your laughter was contagious your stories the absolute funniest. I miss you.

It's been four years since you passed.  I still miss you so much and think of you every day.  The sadness may have eased up a bit.  Now the thoughts are about all of the fun we had together and your silly sense of humor.  You were a true joy and blessing.

I can not believe it has been four years since you passed.  The first weeks and months went by so slow and now the years are so fast.  Even though it has been four years, a day doesn't go by without me thinking about you.  I hope you can hear when I talk  out loud to  you and when I pass by your picture on my dresser, I say love you Brian.  I also am aware of the little things you do like opening the doors to that dresser.  I always say you are such a trickster.  Today I have some friends taking me to Red Lobster to celebrate your life, not your death.  Love mom

It is a known fact mothers and their sons have a special bond.  I enjoyed that he had so many of my characteristics.  We both liked to collect things almost to the point of hoarding.  I remember driving him around Denver to comic book shops trying to find action figures.  We also developed a love for rocks and everytime I came to Colorado since he has been an adult, we hit all the gem shows and rock shops.    He also inherited my love of painting and crafting.  He loved making model buildings and scenery miniatures which I also did.  I think the thing we were most alike was love for animals.  We both loved cats and dogs, but Brian loved all animals including reptiles, lizards, fish, turtles, hamsters, gerbils, and birds.    He was right at home working for Petco. 
 Most of all I loved our time just the two of us when we went fishing at Palmer Lake and being out in nature.  You will always be in my heart sweet son......Mom

The loss of your beloved Brian deeply saddens me, and I am so sorry for you.  I feel your pain. Brian was a wonderful young man.  I wish I had the words to ease your heartache. I can only pray to God that he touches your hearts and souls with the amazing comfort and peace that only he can bring to those who suffer the heartbreak of great loss.  Remember that I will be here beside you with love and support whenever needed in your journey through this difficult time in your lives.  


Hi All,

We wanted to share a couple of memories and photos of Brian.  One of the photos was taken while he and his family were in Austin visiting his Uncle Tommy, Aunt Suzanne, and Cousin Kyle.    Emily his other Cousin in Austin had not been born at the time.   I still remember taking the photo of Brian sitting in our living room holding our 6 month old son Kyle over 22 years ago.  The other photo has been on display in our house next to his sister Robyn's photo since receiving them.   
I also have many fond memories of traveling to Colorado and taking him fishing and camping on the trout streams.  I recall driving down the road and listening to him retelling in detail the Jurassic Park movie he had just seen with his family.  

Brian was such a kind and caring person.  He enriched the lives of everyone around him.

We are so fortunate to have had Brian as a member of our family.

My tears are flowing. I take comfort in believing we are all the pieces of what we remember. We hold in ourselves the remembrances of those we love and of those who love us. As long as there is love and memory, Brian will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

To the entire Rasmussen family, 

 Please accept Rosie and my sincere condolences on the loss of Brian.
 We met just briefly at Robyn & Jon's wedding years ago and he certainly seemed like a nice young man.
 There really are no words to say to comfort such a loss but try to remember the good times and know that God in heaven has a plan for Brian and all of us. 
 When David wrote in the Psalms he said, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with
 me: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."


Dearest Brian,
   My beloved son, I loved you so very much. The memories that remain are your incredible sense of humor.  No matter what the situation was, we could always count on a wisecrack or a joke, and many of the jokes were ridiculously bad, resulting in a lot of eye rolling.
   Thank you for blessing my life with your presence.  How fortunate I was to enjoy our years together.
