Brian was born in Englewood, New Jersey to Bernard Murphy and Margaret Murphy on August 13, 1954. He married his beloved wife, Lori Murphy, on July 11, 1992. Brian and Lori moved to Colorado together in 2002 after falling in love with the beautiful mountain scenery, and have lived together in Falcon, Colorado since.
Brian had many career ventures throughout his life, to include a printing company, owning a restaurant, many years in the car sales industry, and ultimately construction. This led him to 1st Call Exteriors and Construction, which he owned with his wife, Lori. Brian enjoyed fishing, classic cars, coin collecting, and most of all, spending time with his family.
Brian is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Murphy, his father, Bernard Murphy, and his brother, Neil Murphy. Brian is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lori Murphy, his son, Michael Murphy, his daughter, Kellie Murphy, and his daughter, Erin Cook, and her husband, Chris Cook. He is also survived by his siblings, Connie Bergesen, Jay Murphy, Janet Donato, Meg Paschitti, Mark Murphy, Bert Murphy, Beth Carman, Chris Murphy, and Judy Murphy.
Memorial service will be held at 1pm on November 23rd, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Funeral, Cremations, and Cemetery at 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO, 80910.
The family of Brian wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Maurice Markus and all the staff at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, who provided Brian with incredible care since May of 2024 when he received his cancer diagnosis. Thank you also to Dr. Uusinarkaus and Dr. Derksen, who always went above and beyond in their care and concern for Brian. Finally, the family wishes to thank the staff with Compassus Hospice care, who were invaluable to Brian and family during his final weeks.
