In 1958 his family moved to Brownsville, TX, where he attended grade school and Brownsville High School. In 1966 they moved to St. Cloud, MN, graduating from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1968, earning a Scholarship in football to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (WP), NY, graduating in 1973. He was assigned to the HHC 1st Brigade 2nd Armored Division at Ft. Hood, TX, achieving the rank of Captain.
In 1975 he married Pam Crenshaw, sister to WP classmate Chuck Crenshaw. They divorced in 1980.
Upon completion of his military career, they moved to Dallas, TX, where Brad was an Investment Counselor with Piper Jaffrey and Merrill Lynch. In 1986 he transferred to Las Vegas, NV, until 2007 when he returned to St. Cloud, to aid his aging mother.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Favorite pastimes were fishing with his nephew, Dallas Dombrovski and hunting with his cousin, “Little Ricky” Rick Sperl.
Brad was a friend to many, among those is his WP classmate and roommate Tom Gandolfo, Marge and Frank Mallia, Ron (Gene) Hatfield; nephew Brock Dombrovski; lifelong grade school friend, Manuel "Meme" Cavazos; Tech High School classmates, Mike Canfield and Mike Carlson; friends, Sam Thiessen and Chaz Wittman; his WP classmates of H-2 Company, Class of 1973.
He is survived by his sisters, Jackie (Steve) Dombrovski and Bonnie (Rodney) Brothers; nephews, Adam (Natalie) Brothers, Dallas and Brock Dombrovski; and nieces, Katrina (Craig) Thomas and Brittany (Jeremy) Weckman; 7 great-nieces and nephews; 3 aunts; 1 uncle and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and ex-wife Pam.
He will be interred at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York, NY at a future date.
