Born April 1, 1944, to Floyd and Aline Bascle (Lapeyrouse), Arlene graduated from Terrebonne High School in Houma, LA in 1962.
In 1974, Arlene moved to Houston, Texas where she would lay her roots for the next 45 years.
Professionally she would work at Sperry Son Drilling, at her home parish St. Francis de Sales as the Parish Secretary, and as an Executive Administrative Assistant at Encore Trust.
Her life was centered around raising her only son, loving her family, and serving her God with her whole heart. Over the years, Arlene volunteered at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with the Catholic Women’s Organization, Women’s Retreat Team, Vocation Awareness Team, Eucharistic Minister, Choir, Bible Studies, and a continuous supporter of Catholic Education – especially with St. Francis de Sales Catholic School, Marian Christian High School, and the University of Dallas. She attended Mass daily and spent countless hours with our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration.
Shortly after retiring in 2018, Arlene moved to Monument, Colorado to enjoy the mountains with her sister, brother-in-law, and her niece’s family.
Arlene is predeceased by her parents and her brother, Don. She is survived by her son John (Heather); her siblings Jerry, Mike (Cathy), Mary Foucheux (Mike), and Joey (Melanee), and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
